Fingerwoven belt that uses a combination of warpface and oblique weaving. The center is a warpface arrowhead. Copper beads outline the arrowhead. The arrowhead represents strength. The out bands are oblique and copper beads on the fingerweight wool yarn are in the diamond shape. The diamond shape represents either the rattlesnake, the four corners, or can echo the diamonds used in the unbroken friendship pottery design. The eye in the center represents wisdom. The colors red and white call back to the red and white political structure that is now unified into one system of governance for contemporary Cherokee Nation. The copper beads carry down through the tassels as well. This belt was made in honor of Chief Chuck Hoskin, Jr's inauguration in August 2019.
